New Kia Sportage

New Kia Sportage in Yuma, AZ

The Sportage is the vehicle most compact-SUV shoppers end up measuring everything else against. It is longer than it used to be, and that extra length went almost entirely into the back - rear legroom and cargo space are both strong points for the class rather than compromises you accept.

Kia of Yuma keeps several Sportage builds on the ground, and the full new Kia inventory is worth a look if a different size fits better once you have driven one.

Trim structure and equipment change by model year and powertrain, so confirm the details on a specific vehicle with our sales team.

X-Line and X-Pro, Explained

These two get confused constantly. X-Line is primarily about standard all-wheel drive, a slightly taller stance and a distinct exterior look - it is a package applied across trim levels rather than a trim of its own. X-Pro goes further, adding all-terrain tires and more ground clearance.

X-Line covers most drivers. X-Pro earns its keep if unpaved roads are a regular part of the route.

Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid

Beyond the gas engine, the Sportage is offered as a hybrid and as a plug-in hybrid. The hybrid runs entirely on its own, using electric assist to cut fuel use with no charging involved. The plug-in adds a larger battery and a stretch of electric-only range before switching to gas, which fits drivers with a predictable daily distance and a place to charge overnight.

Powertrain availability varies by trim. Let us confirm what is in stock before you build a plan around a specific combination.

Cargo Space and Interior

Cargo room behind the rear seats is among the more generous figures in the compact SUV segment, and folding the rear bench opens up enough length for the things that usually force people into a larger vehicle. Rear-seat passengers get legroom closer to what a midsize SUV offers.

Up front, higher trims run a wide curved display housing the instrument cluster and infotainment together. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, available heated and ventilated seats, and a heated steering wheel handle the rest.

Safety and Technology

Kia Drive Wise covers forward collision avoidance, lane keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts. Higher trims add highway driving assistance, a surround-view monitor and a blind-spot camera view in the instrument cluster.

Sportage Test Drives for San Luis Drivers

San Luis is twenty to twenty-five minutes out with no Kia store closer, and plenty of Sportage owners there make that drive daily for work. That commute is why the hybrid draws so much attention from San Luis shoppers. Call ahead and we will have a gas and a hybrid ready to drive back to back.

Offers, Financing and Service

Current programs are listed on our new Kia specials page, and both lease and finance structures can be run on the same Sportage so you can see the two side by side. Once it is yours, factory-trained technicians and Genuine Kia Parts keep it going through the Kia service center. The rest of the lineup sits on the new Kia SUV page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Kia Sportage available as a hybrid?

Yes. The Sportage is offered as a hybrid and as a plug-in hybrid alongside the gas models. Availability depends on trim and current stock.

What is the difference between Sportage X-Line and X-Pro?

X-Line brings standard all-wheel drive, a raised ride height and a distinct exterior treatment. X-Pro builds on that with all-terrain tires and additional ground clearance.

Does the Kia Sportage come with all-wheel drive?

All-wheel drive is available across the lineup and comes standard on X-Line and X-Pro configurations.

Should I look at the Sportage or the Sorento?

The Sportage is a two-row compact SUV; the Sorento adds a third row in a slightly larger package. If you never need more than five seats, the Sportage is easier to park and typically returns better fuel economy.
